I've just been through the entire resources pack for this, to say it's quite concerning is an understatement.

Early years (F–4): They've got a subtle introduction via gender stereotype lessons where boys behaviours like competitiveness, risk taking or physicality are placed in a negative context, often linked to exclusion or bullying.

Middle years (5–8): Explicit discussion of harmful or toxic masculinity, associating traditional male traits with dominance, violence and lack of empathy which completely ignores current understanding of empathy, cognitive/emotional/compassionate. There’s little distinction made between traits and abuse, so the traits themselves become suspect.

Senior years (9–12): Links male socialisation directly to systemic oppression, domestic violence and workplace inequality. The implication is that traditional masculinity is something to be challenged or unlearned for a respectful society to exist in Australia.

They’re introducing abstract identity concepts at age 5 far earlier than traditional child development theory supports. There’s almost no acknowledgement of positive masculinity or healthy expressions of traditional male traits. The overall bloody message to boys is that their default way of playing and existing is problematic and needs correcting. How this all slipped through I will never understand.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan attacked a news reporter (The Australian's Rachel Baxendale) for reporting on the radical push of transgender ideology to five-year-olds in Victorian schools. Parents were outraged that the Victorian school curriculum had recently added new materials to its “Respectful Relationships" modules, including radial transgender ideology. Children as young as 5 years were being taught they could choose their gender, that their body parts do not have to match how they feel inside, and that they can choose to be male, female or gender diverse.

Why the Victorian government believes it has the right to teach these radical agendas to 5 year olds, without any consultation with parents, or why the Victorian Premier was so angry that it had been made public, who knows. What is clear is that under the guise of teaching “respectful relationships" and “consent", radical feminist ideologues had captured the Victorian school curriculum and subverted it to injected radical theories of gender diversity and transgender ideology into teaching. Parents are right to be outraged.

But the same “Respectful Relationships" curriculum has for several years been teaching (without outrage) “male privilege", “equity versus equality” in gender outcomes, the danger of “male violence", the toxicity of “traditional masculine norms", and the importance of policing male gender norms that give rise to violence against women and girls.

The Victorian school curriculum warns teachers that boys are naturally violent, dominating and dangerous, and should be subjected to a high level of vigilance to ensure they do not dominate female students (and teachers) and/or become future domestic violence perpetrators. Teachers, 85-90% female in Australian k-6 schools, are being taught that adherence to masculine gender norms can lead to negative health outcomes, including those associated with increased risk-taking and men's violence against women and girls.

In addition, teachers are warned that all resistance to the teaching of gender equality (notice they switch equality/equity to moderate reasonableness) and gender diversity is just a reactionary response to threatened hierarchies of power, attempts to stop progressive change that will increase diversity and tolerance. However, the resources provided to assist teachers manage this resistance, is specifically directed at combating the misogyny and male privilege “men's rights activists" and the manosphere.

Ms Allan linked the expansion of the program to efforts to combat violence and bullying in schools.

“It’s about supporting kids to be who they are and teach other kids to respect difference,” she said.

I think she means that it's about supporting those with female traits to be who they are.
