Recently posted in the sub and was shocked at how many romance scams came through to my inbox. They were pretty evident and I’m sure most of you are not going to fall prey

But be aware there’s multiple crews running romance and finance scams by direct messaging posters. You can learn more about this by googling romance scams on Reddit. They’ll start by chatting pretty normal, but then they’ll push you to a different platform. I played along with one to see how elaborate it was because I have a background in cyber investigation work and I was shocked how elaborate they’ve gotten. They’ll even use AI to deepfake voices. But you can still tell.

Just want all my fellow brothers to stay safe! It’s hard enough with what we’re going through. And these crews pray on emotionally vulnerable people.

Just remember if it sounds too good to be true…it is.
