My ex and I were discussing childcare and we came to an agreement about issues related to his schooling. Afterwards, she pivoted and started blaming me because she hits him when she's angry. She said it's mostly my fault because her rage stems from resentment; therefore, I'm to blame for her screaming at and striking him. Yes, this actually happened.
I responded with something like, 'Mkay, I'm gonna go now.' I hung up. She sent me a message that if we can't deal with our problems the right way, our child situation will have to be addressed legally. I told her basically go ahead. Eventually, she calmed down and dropped it, but I have no doubt this will arise again. I shouldn't feel this way, but I truly hate her for saying that. I feel like the mask is off and this is what I'm going to have to deal with to keep my kid with me 3 days a week instead of every other weekend.
I guess I just need advice.
