I work as a phlebotomist at a plasma center and seemed to hit it off with a pretty new donor.
I’m set on asking her out. But how? I’ve perused the advice here and a common thread seems that you have to take strong initiative when getting a number from a woman you’ve essentially just met. Reading here, it seems like me giving her my phone number is a sure Fire way to never hear from her.
But the other piece of wisdom here seems to be that you don’t make the exchange of contact info a question because it signals a lack of confidence and the woman can still choose not to respond to a text.
While that seems sound in theory, I want to be careful to not be seen as hounding female donors for private information, I want it to seem natural and her not feel forced to give me anything.
In sensitive contexts like where you are a worker and the girl you want is a customer, should you put some modifier like “by the way, it’s always fun to talk to you, I’d love to continue our conversation, [if you’re interested], let’s exchange numbers”?
TL;DR: should the context of, say, asking out a customer as a worker mean that youshould allow for an out in getting her contact info? E.g. “by the way, it’s always fun to talk to you, I’d love to continue our conversation, let’s exchange numbers” vs “by the way, it’s always fun to talk to you, I’d love to continue our conversation, if you’re interested let’s exchange numbers”. The wisdom here seems to be make it an assertion rather than a request to have success, but given the context I was wondering if that would be too aggressive for some situations.
