question: What is the maximum amount you should hold a first date for? And how should you convey to your date that you have to leave after whatever time?

I've done 1-2 hour dates and brought back lots of girls who want to hear some music. Close rate is pretty good considering I'm not changing venues over 3-4 hours. Just checking them out, filtering out craziness and for attraction.

Do what you want.... but fully convey it.

Time constraints are great... they add pressure (in a good way) and remove it (in a good way). It gives her a lot to live up to as well.

I liked the old "We're having a one hour date, after that we'll know if there is a spark or not". This conveys standards and abundance and your time being valuable - and of course she'll work hard to have the option to keep you.

After that... if you both choose to continue things (up to you, don't ask her permission)... then it's a second date ;)
