How do people handle old Hinge matches in the following scenarios?

  • You matched and the convo died cuz you or she never responded
  • You got her number, met up, and things fizzled for whatever reason

At one point I was told by some dating coach bro to unmatch once you've met IRL and gotten her number cuz there was a chance she would get mad at you and report you for not doing anything wrong, and you can only report matches, thus unmatching made you not exposed but they changed it a few months ago so you can report old matches as well.

Do people just let them sit there in Hidden and stack up forever? Is there some algo benefit to unmatching to keep your elo up or something?
