I'll keep this short and hopefully readable. I work at a major American retailer in the vein of Macy's, Nordstroms, ect. and have recently discovered that my manager has a massive crush on this girl I've been fucking.

He makes special allowances for her and does a pretty shitty job masking his obsession. She and I don't publicize that we hookup, but it's clear when she works that she's interested in me. And despite being the head manager of this store, he hovers around her enough to pick up on her attraction.

This bites me in the ass in the form of getting sent to do shitty store upkeep work, being constantly watched and moved from my section whenever it coincides with where she is. I'm very sure he's actively looking for a reason to fire me. I've interacted with him in a extremely deferential manner, which hasn't improved his treatment of me. Maybe this has been mistake.

I've seen the texts, unreciprocated, mushy, pour your heart out bullshit that this 50 year old with a wife and kids hasn't realized is probably the reason for his absent sex life. I'm fairly sure that most of these stores have something that would forbid manager/associate relationships, but maybe not. Is it worth going to hr with the texts? Or just trying to grind out another year or so before I get my degree and leaving?
