I think you missed a spot.

The biological reality is this- in our natural environment, males must be provisionary. It is an instinctual behavior, not merely the product of socialization.

Even if we assume women to be otherwise equal to men in performance, they are a reproductive bottleneck; one man can impregnate many females, one female can only go through one complete reproductive cycle a year.

This means the female has to be selective; not just in aesthetics but performance. She will enter a period of relative infirmity with pregnancy, and so will be reliant on someone else. Said provider must be capable if protecting her, unable to develop the same infirmity, and able to secure necessities in quantity.

This leads to the evolutionary pressure for a male to be provisionary not just for himself, but for any mates and offspring, as doing so improves the odds of his lineage persisting. If he provided before, he can provide again, and more reproductive chances emerge.

The Marxist lens cannot see this; it is concerned entirely with power dynamics in the immidiate, short term sense and assumes that any discrepancy is the result of exercised power.

And that is the case here, not as men dominating women, but as material realities constraining human ideals.

The end result is that men don't just think they need to be provisionary for a mate because society says so; this is a natural, biological imperative not unlike a bird to fly. It is an evolved behavior instilled over hundreds of thousands of years, predating even our species.

A 'marxist feminist' lens cannot resolve that because it would require that provisionary relationship of male to female be reestablished- which reasserts the old order, at least in part, that both marxism and feminism seek and sought to dismantle.
