I am 2 weeks into what is obviously going to be a very messy divorce.

My wife filed a PFA against me with a bunch of false allegations. But the real thing I'm struggling with is, she took our dogs and is refusing to let me see them, when though they are considered a marital property. And, she applied for sole possession of the house, also with a bunch of lies

She moved out 8 weeks ago voluntarily, after our couples counselor told us she could not see us anyone because my wife refused to take responsibility for anything.

My questions to you are, (1) I've had 3 lawyers now tell me theres nothing we can do about the dogs: they are considered marital property and will be split with the final ruling. How is it that she can prevent me from accessing my marital property which is our dogs?

(2) she filed a petition for sole possession of our house despite the fact that she voluntarily moved out 8 weeks ago. She made several easily falsifiablr allegations in the petition (one example is, we both had 1 child from a previous, non-marriage relationship. The kids are 20 and 22. She called them emancipated children in the petition and claimed she has 2 children from prior relationships who depend on her so thats why she needs the house.

3 lawyers so far have told me that despite the fact that she signed a document stating its all true to her knowledge, and I can easily prove she knowingly lied, that it wont matter at all in court.

Does anyone have experience with this? Can she really just lie even after swearing under penalty, and have no reprecussions?
