Your post reminds me of what Jordan Peterson says : according to him, religions and myths are of form of truth that is different from scientific truth and should be viewed as lessons and guiding principles learned, compiled and refined by previous generations in the form of stories for easy transmission. According to him, dismissing the whole thing entirely as primitive superstition, is missing something important.
