We all here it often - dark triad personality traits (that is egoist, narcissist, bipolar) make woman drawn to you like moths to flame and get them to jump on your jock.

But as I see real life examples i'm starting to think...that while true, there is a ...different reason than commonly believed for this allure, least when it comes to relationships.

That reason being these traits not being fully the bait in itself, but rather a leeway they desire. Usually when i see a woman with an a-hole (talking relationships here), that a-hole has a regular strong positive trait going for him - for example is a manager, or a musician, or IT specialist with high income and great body.

They do however often have mental problems and substance abuse behind the belt with numerous nasty character traits that stem from it. Dark triad ones being part of the mix. Now the reason why women seem to love that is because it gives them something they couldn't have normally - a man way above their league. They'll jump into hellfire for a flawed 9 (like an alcoholic CEO, whose personality is 2/10) than pick up an all rounder 6/10 who's bit above average in all aspects. These "dark traits" let them ride the ride they would normally never be admitted to at cost of severe mental/psysical backlash. But they don't care.

Ofc this ends much the same as one night stands - things fall apart, the high value (albeit seriously flawed) guy still dumps their ass (unless the woman herself is in his league) and we got a fresh stream of alpha widows pouring in the dating market. These being worse then Chad's pumps & dumps as these were actually in a relationship with them, further propelling the dellusion of their worth and on top of that mentally damaged by long term exposure to toxic partner.

So am i just seeing things, or is this the general modus operandi for women when it comes to relationships?
