In my opinion, supervisors should lead/manage/direct/empower their teams, not cater to them. Also, why do we assume diversity of skin color or gender equates to diversity of thought or better performing teams?

How do I tell if this is just BS feel good training or if this will actually impact my company's direction/future? We are a private company and they keep talking about hiring more female leadership and promoting women sooner (which would compete with my promotions).

Are there any good stats or things I can bring up during training without making a career limiting move? I think a lot of the training is about cultural relativism and changing my perspective to think like a female or other culture to understand they have different needs that should be catered to - all bc the workforce is changing to be more minority and female so we should "match" to serve our customers.
