I saw a post (or maybe a comment) on here a while ago that was some statistics on rape and sexual assault compiled by a not-for-profit that were (supposedly) better balanced than most statistics. I can't remember it perfectly, but I think the general gist of it was that poorly worded laws surrounding rape meant that male victims were largely excluded from traditional statistics.

I was just wondering what the most accurate statistics on rape by gender are, and what a good source is.

I'm interested in the gender of both the victims and the perpetrators.
