I find something very odd about a victim reporting such a horrible crime to a school, not the cops. That seems fundamentally flawed to me and really suspicious. It's like when you're a kid and you do something wrong, you go to the parent who punishes you less. Sometimes I feel these girls go to the school and not the cops because they can get a guy in trouble, claim victim status much easier than going to the cops. I mean if a school REALLY thought a student raped another, they would NEVER let that student back on campus, EVER.

Just seems odd to me that a rape victim would go to the school, not the cops. For example, if I was in the mall and got jumped, I would not go to the mall security to get the attacker kicked out, I would go to the cops to make sure justice was served. But for some reason, colleges and rape is one of those rare cases in which the victim will go to the school, not the cops. You see students calling cops for stolen laptops.. but they call the school for rape?

When I saw this title, I got excited. For our legal system, "Guilty until proven innocent" would be an improvement!

The real standard is, "guilty AFTER proven innocent!"

The Martin Briant case was a disgrace. I'm not saying he was innocent, but it just goes to show that if legal process goes out the window in high profile cases what chance does the average case have?

Police are some of the most corrupt people in the world.

I think the person who made this video completely misunderstood what the Young Turks where saying, or just didn't care and needed to feel outraged.

The YT's start the video by saying that he allegedly committed this crime and he was only found guilty "Based on what the Board found within the University." The whole video is not saying that he was found guilty and committed this rape, it is saying that the University Board determined that they felt he had committed this crime.

The YT's say when "situations like this that take place on campus, the University also has to get involved." And this is completely right! It would be ridiculous if the University just ignored allegations like this.

I think if you just watch the YT's video, and stop having to feel so outraged at everything, you'll see that what the YT's are saying is totally reasonable. How can a University independently find one of it's students guilty of rape, and not kick them out until the matter is settled in the courts?
