It is more just part of the general normal misandry.
I do not find the blog's argument scientifically sound however. The genes on paired chromosomes are not redundant. They are not carbon copies. The combination is what gets expressed.

The part that is talking about science sort of makes sense; two men have enough genetic material to make a woman who is genetically indistinguishable from a woman made by the genetic union of a woman and a man, whereas two women cannot do the same. The part that tries to extrapolate beyond that . . . is a little iffy.

I hate it when people who know nothing about genetics try to make stupid arguments based on high school biology.
First of all, in females one of the X alleles is almost always epigenetically silenced, otherwise there would be a severe dosing problem. The other issue is imprinting, mechanisms for which we still know very little.
I wish feminists and MRAs (among whose ranks I count myself) would take arguments about social policy outside of molecular biology.

I'm saying that genetics is way more complicated than just genetic sequences and chromosomes, and that the mechanisms by which genes are expressed still evade complete understanding. This is particularly true of the contributions male and female gametes make to their offspring.
I'm familar with the stupid arguments feminists make about the male genome being "incomplete", and I understand that you counter it by pointing out the obvious fact that the full human genome includes the Y chromosome, which is not found in females. But the whole framework of the argument is based on a very flawed premise about the way genes are expressed.

Definitely, can't disagree with anything there. Theres a bunch I personally don't know, and what I know is limited to my general-ed biology class, so I don't even know what we know/don't know in general. Thanks for clearing some of that up for me!

No worries. The field is changing very rapidly and the last 5 years have been an incredible period of scientific learning.
I find the subject is endlessly fascinating. Did you read the wiki link on imprinting? It's wild how complicated biological systems are!
