I talked to a girl about politics and other things, and I thought we could be friends. I didn't try to flirt with her or anything because I prefer to keep my intentions subtle. Then the next day, I posted on Instagram Notes, "Of all the fish in the sea, I got stuck with the sea bream" (a very ugly fish). Basically, she insulted me, implying that she finds me ugly. After that, we never spoke again, since I personally see it as disrespectful. She thinks I have no idea about her insult. Does what happened warrant me stopping talking to her, or should I keep trying?
