I'm always trying new openers so here are some I plan to try next. A lot of them are variations on the idea of brining up dating apps.

I try to avoid complimenting her appearance if she already knows I can hit on her. If she genuinely doesn't know why I'm talking to her then I compliment her appearance.

Walking opposite direction:

  • southern style friendly nod at her. If she nods back, say "hey how's it going."
  • "I'm on my way to work and I'm going that way but before I go I just wanted to say you have a very distinctive look. How's your day going"

Waiting or walking same direction:

  • "We're both walking the same direction so I feel like I have no excuse not to try to talk. But to know if we would get along I have to ask"
    • "do you have any strong opinions about aliens?"
    • "are you religious"
    • "do you like horror movies"
  • "We're both walking the same direction so I feel like I have no excuse not to try to talk to you"
    • "How's your day going"
    • "I feel like I can't tell very much from someone's dating app profile and it is the in person vibe that matters"
  • "You look like you work in finance"
  • "did you get coffee yet today?"

Any:

  • "do you believe in love at first sight?"
  • "have you ever gone on a date with someone you met out of nowhere?"
  • "you seem like someone I would date if I got to know you better"
  • "Are you on any dating apps because I feel like I'm hoping I find your profile there."
  • "Hey is there an option for me to swipe right on you in real life because you have the vibe of someone I would date"
