its not a lifestyle

[–]BUKKAKE08[S] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, any set of values you add/follow in life is a lifestyle.

My relationship was kind of already red pill so it's just a nice place to hang out with similarly minded people. I'm 23 and found it on reddit.

Are you still in that relationship? If not, do you plan on your future relationships being TRP?

[–]sugarcrushEndorsed Contributor0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm married. I guess I should have said my relationship is!

the red pill=how men think without regard to what women think or feel about it

[–]AFormidableContender0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Elaborate please.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

if you accept that men and women innately think about relationships, love, sex and lust etc differently based on sex, and that they use different strategies to pursue different and sometimes incompatible goals in human relationships then "the red pill" is the distilled essence of what the generic man thinks about, wants out of and acts to attain those things without regard to what women think men SHOULD act think and feel like based in their strategy and thoughtways

if you dont accept the sex differences/competing strategies idea, then it will never make sense

I am a RedPill male and I would actually disagree. All men think about or want out of women is a decent looking girl who's nice to them, likes them, and has some sort of passion/appreciation for who he is a man and sexual being. 90% of TRP practice is reactionary via women's behavior in a modern world in which women have no social punishements for, and theory is basically "women won't fuck you unless you're the best. Be the best. Being the best = big muscles and good job. Good luck".

The only thing inately natural about it is the alpha/beta dichotomy and this is so unintuitive that most men do not think about it ever, agree on it, or even know it exists. All we see is "jock gets girls. Book worm doesn't. Therefore, better to be dumb jock, than smart bookworm".

I would more correctly say TRP is an explanaition of something that occurs naturally, but it itself is not what men naturally think, at all.

Is that^ whay you meant?

yeh thats the way i mean it pretty much

do you plan on your future relationships being TRP

its not a lifestyle like BDSM, you dont have a "trp" relationship.

"reply" allows you to keep your comments all on the comment they're relevant to.

As I said before, any set of values you add/follow in life is a lifestyle. For sake of conversation, that's the definition I (and everyone else) uses. I know you're offended by the idea that TRP mentality is optional, but I just wanted to see the women of the red pill's POV. I just found this subreddit and was curious as to how the ladies found this "lifestyle," and what lead them to embrace it.

Don't be a sanctimonious ass. She was responding that way because of your tone.

[–]BUKKAKE08[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

It's the internet! I'm trying to be respectful and try and figure out this shit, I don't know how to alter my tone. Sorry I'm offending everyone, I just have literally NEVER HEARD of RPW until 3 hours ago.

[–]TempestTcup0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Perhaps you could cut down on the snark. We don't do snark around here. I almost banned you, but decided to give you a second chance.

This is a community of women trying to figure out ways of making our relationships better. We embrace femininity and we discourage feminism. If this appeals to you great! It probably won't because I've been looking at your past comments, and you are pretty into feminism.

I removed your post because we have already had and answered this question about 50 times. Sorry about that, but we also had moderation reports on it.

If you would like to politely comment or ask a more detailed question, rather than this open-ended one, that would be great, but be reminded that we will not tolerate crap from unfamiliar commenters.

[–]BUKKAKE08[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I'm incredibly feminine but am also a feminist, yeah. I really didn't mean to offend this very tight-knit group of folks. I asked an open-ended question because I didn't know how someone could run into these ideals on a normal basis. I'll go through your FAQ threads. I wasn't aware I was being "snarky." I was seriously just curious to this mindset.

[–]TempestTcup0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Curiosity is good. We don't have a lot on the sidebar, and you don't really want to go to TRP because it has a different agenda (guys getting laid as opposed to women working on relationships), but there are a few really good blogs out there.

Your best bet is to read through some of the posts here. We don't do flippant or snarky because those are the tools our detractors and trolls use. We are a heavily trolled subreddit, so we do the trial by fire thing a lot.

For every genuinely curious person that happens by, we have around 5 to 10 trolls. There is an entire subreddit (or more) devoted solely to making fun of us wanting to make our husbands happy. I guess a happy husband is a terrible thing!

[–]BUKKAKE08[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I mean maybe you can be less defensive or at least not outright attack the people who actually ARE curious. If I wanted to "troll," don't you think I would have been nasty to the women/men who gave me serious answers? I'm just now catching on that RPW is different than TRP, but you're right, you don't have much of a sidebar.

Do I agree with what I'm seeing here? No, but who cares. It's your life and I respect your decisions. It seems incredibly interesting to me so I wanted to know more. I thought asking how one found out about this would help me understand in the same way someone knowing how I got into feminism would help them understand me & my beliefs. I also liked the soup recipes I saw on another thread.

I probably won't be marrying a guy in my future, but there's nothing wrong in making your partner happy:)

[–]TempestTcup0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

The thing is that the trolls are very good at trolling. They all start out really nice, then they ask a question with a little twist in it and then BAM they hit us with the full troll. It wastes our time. Plus, every feminist comes here trying to explain being a feminist as if we have been living under a rock our entire lives.

We were ALL feminists before we discovered TRP. We already understand your beliefs, but we have abandoned those beliefs. I am incredibly happier for doing so, and frankly, I haven't heard anyone here regret their decision to discard feminism.

But hey, the entire world (apart from my tiny one) shares your outlook on life. The entire nation is a huge Team Woman and is feminizing all the men in the same way the Colorado River is digging the Grand Canyon deeper every year. Look at the skinny jean wearing hipsters for a good example.

Anyway, nice discussion! Oh, and we found out about it the same way you did - the internet.

[–]BUKKAKE08[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

One woman said she found it through her marriage and then she discoverer this subreddit. So. No, she found it through her relationship.

I'm not going to "troll" you, relax. That's very fascinating that you were all feminists before! I guess what I want to know would be what were the "moments in life" that made you realize that you were a Redpill woman. Would you mind if I made a topic asking this?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

im not "offended" by anything including dead nigger babies in gas chambers, so save your bullshit. you arent curious about anything, youre deliberately mischaracterizing trp and rpw so that you can make fun of it and im not going to let you get away with mischaracterizing it. TRP is nothing more than how men and women thought about the sexes before feminism made up a bunch of bullshit out of whole cloth and continues to be how men and women think about the sexes without regards to feminism. its not a lifestyle, its not a "mentality", its not something you turn off and on and its not some madeup playacting BDSM show.

[–]BUKKAKE08[S] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

oh my fucking god. Get yourself some xanax asap. I'm not here to make fun nor did I meant to "mischaracterize" TRP/RPW. I am actually curious as I don't know anyone like this in real life. It's just a question, and I'm very grateful to everyone who gave me a serious answer.
