My Captain had a failed marriage and a bunch of other unsuccessful long term relationships. He may have been a terrible leader in his previous relationships, however he's truly perfect for me in every sense of the word. We work extremely well together despite not working well for others.

No captain is perfect. No one really is. The question in what way can you add to that and make the team as close to perfect as possible.

I apologize for nit picking.

It's much more beneficial to focus on the things you can change rather than the things you cannot. In a LTR, this is most important.

In a ONS situation, looks are practically all that matter. Well, of course personality and hygiene etc matter too, but looks are still way up there. Looks play less of a role in a LTR. This isn't to say they aren't important, they definitely are, they just aren't as important as they are to a ONS.

That different people find different looks attractive is a fact. Having looks that are less desirable to the majority of people means that it may be a little more challenging to find a mate, but it also means there are less people to weed out.

The way you speak and act, the way you treat your SO, the way you dress, your overall demeanor, these are things you can change. These are the things that will count most in a LTR.

Not every Red Pill Woman wants a captain. My boyfriend is hot, intelligent and fun. We have common interests. But he doesn't lead me and I don't follow him. We're independent people who like spending time together. He isn't perfect and neither am I. We lead our lives and advise the other when necessary, and it works great. Neither of us want to depend on another for money, guidance, etc.

Female sexual strategy only becomes interesting when trade-offs have to be made. When a woman has high SMV & RMV she can keep the commitment of a high-value man with good genes & provider status/personality. However, when the woman lacks those, her game is to compromose with a provider status male and sleep around with those that have better genes. In other words, AF/bb. There's data corroborating that low-income & status communities have more infedelity than communities that aren't.

I think that some people can get too caught up in what they perceive to be status, whether it's status as a result of profession, looks, popularity, etc. A man having status doesn't make him compatible with any particular woman.

45 year old women are simply not in competition with 19 year old women, both because neither woman is interested in the same subset of men nor are the particular men those women are interested in interested in both of those women. Notice that even George Clooney married a woman in her late 30s.

I am convinced that people make bad relationship decisions when they focus on the things they feel other people will find desirable about their mate rather than simply focusing on what makes that person right for them.

As a 49-year-old woman, I don't think I'd want to be with a guy my own age who would prefer a 19-year-old! That's kinda creepy. :-o

Being old and decidedly post-Wall (lol), I'm going to say that the good news is: Rregardless of your SMV, you don't have to attractive to every guy/girl on the planet; you just have to be attractive enough to appeal to a person whom you find attractive. As someone already pointed out, different people prioritize traits differently, so one person's plus may be another's minus. And so it goes ... just have to put yourself "out there" and hope you find someone with whom the compromise is mutually acceptable. :-)

You are absolutely right, the red pill is about the reality, not add we perceive that reality. It may be less than rosy for some.
