Women are told and taught to "resist" Logic. They are encouraged, aggressively, constantly, via multiple channels, to behave and speak in ways that appear to us men as illogical.

What they mean by being independent and not needing a man is that they want to have full control over their lives, they do not want to be financially dependent on any man. While this in and of itself doesn't seem like asking too much, people aren't aware of how humans lived for millions of years, as opposed to how we live now, in modern society: women had to rely on men for food and protection. This wasn't a consequence of politics, society or anything man-made, as we lived entirely in Nature's setting. When women neurotically whine about being independent, they are doing so out of having been unable to come to terms with one of their major, biological frustrations, namely, that they need men.Now, they do not, as we do not have to hunt and fight anymore. You can go and order a takeout from your phone without having to even stand up, and violence is mostly gone from our societies, as we've made it illegal. Violence being illegal won't remove violence from this world, but women do not need to fear for their lives, unless they live in bad neighbourhoods and go out after dark.While living under Nature's laws, before civilisation, women had certain tools in order to help them gain resources from men, most obviously their sexuality; in fact the entire system of human sexuality has evolved around women's need for male resources. This is why men have higher sex drives, this is why men have to endure such high sexual thirst the majority of our lives. Nature was cruel to women, but Nature also gave women some tools to help them acquiring resources from men.Now, they wanted to be free from having to rely on men for resources, as that'd limit their sexual freedom, as it was the case for the majority of our recorded history. But they also want to make use of their powers. While they are young they engage in sex and relationships as they see fit, and they can use their Nature given dominance over the sexual realm to lock down a rich man who will pay for her shit. You should also incorporate the fact that there isn't a single group of women into your perspective. Women have their own hierarchy, based on beauty and youth. Some women have a lot of sexual power, some do not.

they did not maintain their vehicles, and when something broke down they would bitch to their male friends or entice them with fake sweetness or would lead them on.
