That wouldn't make sense biologically.

1 - Eggs are a lot more rare than sperm,that means that a man can impregnate an unlimited number of women,while women can only be impregnated by only one man at any given time and the number of pregnancies she can have is limited to a few dozens at most.

2 - Women have a shorter period of time in which she can reproduce compared to that of men.

3 - A woman is stuck with taking care of the baby for the following years of his/her life if she wants it to survive,whereas a man's job in that regard ends when the intercourse ends.

4 - Men are physically much stronger than women.

These four reasons make it impossible for humans to have a male-focused society.In a world where women chase men,males would have little incentive to create or build things,alpha males would form harens and monopolize most of the females and that's what monogamy tried to prevent from happening.

Men taking care of the civilization and women taking care of the home and the children was the perfect set-up for any healthy and growing society given the characteristics of both genders.It only stopped working when liberals got into the picture to give women the right to vote and allow feminism to corrupt the once good relationship between men and women.

What you describe is what it actually was during the first half of the 20th century, but that's another discussion.

I don't think men would get lazy... I think they'd still be the ones striving to at least reach a point of self-sustenance-- beyond that, I think it'll be a smaller group of neurotic men who keep pushing innovation and such... because they know the women still aren't going to fucking do it.

This was the original purpose of pair-bonding society (aka marriage)-- to remove competition for female attention among men so they work together to build society instead. Once men have to spend all their time "competing" for women again, society goes right back into the shitter.

Look at the men vs. women Bear Grylls island challenge... they took all competition for female attention out of the mix, and the men flourished by working together, while the women failed so badly they needed outside help to avoid death, let along to finish the challenge.
