I wanted to post this here because I thought that anywhere else on reddit people would morally condemn me for dating a married man instead of offering advice. I am also kinda sympathetic to RP philosophy and I think that men should have the upper hand in a relationship.

I am in a happy relationship with a 48 years old married man. We have great chemistry and he wants to leave his wife to be with me. He says that he's unhappy in his marriage and was thinking of divorce even before he met me. (I have seen some texts from his wife and it seems like he's telling the truth that they don't get along) He also says that his wife had cheated on him years ago and he never really got over it.

However, there are some problems and the situation stresses me out.

  1. I have no income of my own as I am still a student. I am financially supported by my parents and I am pretty immature for my age. (at least when it comes to stuff like working) I have never had a "real" job, only odd jobs for relatives, like looking after my aunt's kids and teaching them. He wants us to have a serious relationship which probably means I would have to move in with him and be financially supported by him. I don't feel comfortable being totally financially supported by a man, but my chances of finding a job now with corona also look grim.
  2. He and his wife have a 10 years old kid. I fear that his kid will resent me for ruining mom's and dad's marriage. I also fear that his family and friends might resent me for similar reasons. Also, most of his friends are married and his friends' wives might snub me for being a "younger homewrecker" or whatever.
  3. He doesn't like my father or my brother and want me to limit contact with them. Now, I can't blame him since my father and my brother are very problematic people. My father is a weed addict with depression and OCD and my brother is arrogant, domineering and has a bad attitude overall. However, I still feel uncomfortable that he tells me to limit my contact with them even though I always knew that it would have to be done eventually. The only one he doesn't really mind is my mother, who is also the most "normal" one in my family so it makes sense.
  4. His mother seems very meddlesome. I haven't met her but I have a feeling that she won't like me at all. From what he has told me, the reason his mother didn't like his current wife was that she (the wife) was not educated enough and that she was not good enough for him in general. If his mother didn't think his current wife (a former model with a full-time job) was good enough for him then she definitely won't like me either, since I am only a student at 25.
  5. Our personalities are very different. He is the hard-working and responsible type and also a bit of a control freak. I am the opposite. I am lazy, easy-going and not very down-to-earth. I am trying to improve but it's not very easy. We seem to have good chemistry now but we might get on each other's nerves after a few years and this might cause him to regret leaving his wife for me.

How should I approach this messy situation?
