It's weird how in the supposed effort to promote "diversity", there are those who've villified people based on race and gender. I heard recently a female Senator expound on how we need more women in politics because, paraphrasing, "women naturally care more about education and healthcare and children, and are more likely to work together in a cooperative rather than competitive way to solve problems". Leaving aside the merit of this argument, can you imagine a man flipping this sexist assertion on its head, to promote male leadership nowadays? Do you think it would go unchallenged, much less met with the enthusiasm the female host responded with?
