A gentleman never kisses and tells, besides, the past is the past, I'm here in the present.

It's not a lie if the person you're telling doesn't believe it either.

idiot.
"I don't talk about past girls".
"I don't go into that".
you gain serious cred form girls this way. It's the best way to demonstrate that she can trust you.

Don't talk about this type of stuff with potential women. Dries them up and it's not sexy or fun. Just joke around with them.

So pre-rp I was the type of person who opened his heart and told LTRs almost everything, because I believed it „it fosters a deep emotional connection“. It made me feel good, but for the relationship nothing good ever came from it - you’ll naturally lose frame and she will think less of you, even if its subconscious, which ultimately always resulted in shorter relationships AND less quality time spent with this person.
So no, I wouldn’t bring up any details, particularly no nasty ones. Especially not if it’s just a plate.
MAYBE if she‘s LTR material and I‘ve known her for some time, but even then - I‘d keep it short and vague. Whatever happened won’t help you nor her in any capacity - it will most likely be detrimental.

Best thing to do is to NOT shit on your ex. They’ll think you’ll just do the same about them.
Just say something like: she was a great girl, it just didn’t work out for us.

"I don't start new relationships, just to rehash old ones."
If she continues to push:
"Hey I'm here to have a nice night. If you'd like to join me, great. But analyzing ex's isn't on my list of enjoyable activities."
Realize she's digging into your personal shit to get leverage and dirt. Shut her down. If she can't accept it, good, the only reason she was there anyway was drama. Get packing. If she can STFU on all the female drama and have fun, good, she can stay around.

Don't let out that you were cheated on or hurt by her, it lowers your value. I like going with "We didn't pay attention to each others' needs and the relationship derailed. I developed the awareness of just how hard it'd be to put it back into tracks before she did, and I made the choice of leaving and starting anew."
