Women respond well to a mix of beta & alpha behavior. If you're in an LTR being completely devoid of empathy is not the way to go. You know what makes TRP LTR work? When; after weeks of dread, alpha bravado, and dicking her down senseless, you show up to her place - flowers in hand - and take her somewhere nice to reward her good behavior. Utilize beta behavior sparingly, it has a more lasting impact that way.
My LTR hits me with "really? OMG" or "Stop lying" when I respond with "I miss you too" because it really is unbelievable. Its not a shit test, women do really want to know that somewhere under that stoic visage is love and tenderness and all that other bullshit they eat up. I usually just tell her "I know" or "You miss this dick." When I show empathy or sympathy it has a greater affect because it is so rare. I can ignore her all day, sext her, tell her something along the lines of "I'm gonna pin you up against the wall and ravage you and you're gonna like it" and get hit with an "I love you!" At that point me saying "I love you too" after satisfying her primal urges checks off the empathy box for free.
Just don't overindulge in beta behavior. Err on the side of alpha and use beta strategically.

"Which part?", turn it from emotional response to physical one i.e "I want you" vs "I love you".

I usually respond with "Good" while looking smug and winking. If she questions or persists I just say "I like it when you Miss me." I never reciprocate the affirmation that I miss her too. It reinforces their need to please by not gushing over them, but it's also done in a way that's not too dickish.

What are you going to do about it? However, if you've know the girl for a long time/it's a LTR then, "I miss you too" is fine.

"I know" or some kind of variation. That or "Prove it". If you have done everything right leading up to this, the racy pics and texts will start flooding in. Less is more in this situation.
