Sounds a lot like you're getting scammed by a con artist. Just reading your backstory you sound like an excellent "mark." You're not well educated, You're deeply frustrated, you have low self-esteem, and most of all you're desperate.

Pay no upfront costs to anyone. Just say "no." Cut no deals with people you haven't actually met.

Do it yourself instead.

Give up the alcohol mate. In the past I've been driven to alcoholism due to extreme work stresses and it's not good. It eats away at your health and your wallet. Cut out the booze and you'll already be in a much better shape physically, mentally and financially. Get this done before you start your business.

You’re fucked if you stay. Whatever you do, do something else than what you’re doing. Many of us older dudes have been where you are, some a little better off and some worse.

Stop playing video games and all tv. Read all the sidebar. Start improving your life. Sleep. Exercise. No one is going to take care of you but yourself.

Start that business. It’s pretty unreasonable to think that you’ll start it a successful business in a month. That sounds a bit childish.

Here is the thing though. If you don’t do something, nothing will change. You’re an adult now and you need to get out on your own. You need to get out of the distinction you’re living in and start making your own life.

You need to come up with 100 different ways to make leaving happen. Be prepared to change as needed when shit doesn’t go like you expected.
