Re. the “What are we?” talk: Always-always-always make it in person, face-to-face, because a girl will invariable be easier to convince of your frame, since she can't simply hang up, as she can over the phone. And always-always-always Deflect & Delay: Say that your relationship isn't anything yet, it's still in that indefinable stage, that you're both exploring a new relationship that could turn out to be Serious-with-a-capital-S or not. Once she agrees grudgingly, ask her, “Why do you insist on defining this nice thing we got going? Is it because of your friends/family and what they might think/say? Are you more worried about their opinion than about us?”
