Like in the Matrix, you can't save someone that doesnt want to be saved.
You can only really plant small seeds in form of advice if he sees receptive, but you can't point him here unless he is desperate. In which case, MRP is the way to go

My unidentified family member is a few years older than me (I just finished college). He is arguably the smartest, most articulate person i've ever met. He has two degrees from top tier universities (magna cum laude at both), passed the BAR in the hardest state to pass it in, and is overall a clean cut capable guy who could have the world by the balls.

I stopped reading there. He is older than you and more intelligent. Hence he thinks he has more 'life experience' than you and he won't accept advise. Additionally smart people are often blinded by their ego, act socially unintelligent/stupid and from a macchiavellian standpoint, often plain dumb.

I know this hurts because you care about him but who are you to decide if a man should live his life (maybe short term or maybe longer) in ((happy)) ignorance? He will find TRP if he really wants it.

Like below. My dad my brother and I may as well have all married the same woman. The behaviors we exhibit and the patterns are there plain as day to me now that I can see them. I have tried to reach them but as stated below unless someone genuinely wants to make their own change or has something sprung upon them that opens their mind you won't get anywhere. Only way to do it is to show examples.

He may be interested, but just not know it exists. But I wouldn't present it to him as a fix for his situation

Be the best you that you can be. Show him that life doesn't have to be like his. If he agrees that your life is better than his and he would like this as well; he will come to you for advice. If this ever happens just start out small and don't try to crush his reality with every TRP wisdom out there. Change WILL be met with resistance but the smaller the change the lesser the resistance.

Until he is ready to open his eyes and look for an alternative, all you do will be met with negativity one way or another. Just think about how you would react when said family member would start giving you advice on how to be more like him. You wouldn't be thankful, you'd start to resent the guy for thinking he's got it all figured out and trying to push you into the same direction.

Good luck, I know it's hard. Currently facing a somewhat similar situation.
