Taking the red pill is figuring out how the sexual market works, and is often described as a game. TRP is figuring out "shortcuts", and while you may have to bust your ass, you will rise above the competition and in a way "beat the game".
MGTOW is opting to not play the game at all.

Whenever men form groups it's very important to set up a filtration system so that losers dont join your group and sink it with their loserdom.
The Red Pill has a lift or get the fuck out filtration system. It keeps men who are unwilling to take action and are just looking to have their balls coddled out.
MGTOW has no filtration system which is why they are fat depressed losers who externalize all of their problems onto women instead of looking within for improvement.

Here's an interesting thought experiment go to the MGTOW subreddit or YouTube channels and do your best to discern their emotional state. It's always a mixture of angry and depressed.
They arnt as funny as us. They seem to lack our competitive masculine drive. They are far less willing to take blame or responsibility. When was the last time you heard a MGTOW say: she left you cuz you're a beta bitch?
Anyway it's clear to everybody that these men are miserable and women are doing everyone a favor by refusing to bring more depressed losers into this world.

TRP is sexual strategy. Don Draper once said 'you have to show her what kind of man you are so she knows what kind of girl to be.'
MGTOW is more or less a subset of TRP, many of whom may be in denial about the nature of man and woman. Some feel like women do not deserve a man.
At the end of the day I feel like TRP is like PUA meets Stoicism, and MGTOW is asexuality meets Hedonism.
Open to discussion as I can't really speak for MGTOW, just what I observe.

MGTOW see woman as a tool for pleasure only and are happy to live without them in their lives. TRP see value in woman and a LTR as potentially beneficial.
