I am actually down that road, and my answer would be yes, and no. I feel good when I get attention from women, it does make me a happier person. However, I'm looking for a love that is so idealized that I might never get it. Rollo said men have to come to terms with the fact that women can't love them the way they want them to. And that's pretty much what is always missing for me, I have a deeper need for love that is just never satisfied, love I didn't receive even from my own mother when I needed it, but I keep it for myself. When your own mother overtly says that it's time for her to enjoy her life and put herself first when you're 10 years old, you realize that this form of pure love is never guaranteed. And that is a craving that I think most men share, and for me the current relationships I have with women don't satisfy that. It hurts but I can only just endure.

True happiness is only going to come from inside. Sure these things make you happy and feel good but true happiness is only going to come from within. Accomplishing your goals, moving toward your mission(s), living life how you truly want... These are the things that will bring you true satisfaction. I've always subscribed to the quote "if you can't love yourself, who else will?"

in all relationships 2 partys must provide for each other for them to work, so yes you can enjoy her attention and company etc,

But you have to learn to also know that at anytime she might not be there, in the same way a friend or family member may not be.

People are selfish and can stop being there for you at anytime its just human nature, so always remember that
