It's not your place or responsibility to try to stop him. You're only going to make him resent you for doing it. Right now he's blinded by infatuation and is impervious to reason or sound argument. If you've already tried and he hasn't listened to you in the past. Nothing you say now can change his mind.

Right, but there's a way to tell someone that they're going to hell that only makes them want to get there, faster. If you talk to him about it, just walk him through it, without offering opinions, just ask questions and let him work it out. He might "get it" or he might not.
