Socially well off - surrounded by family
Not the same as social structure you'll develop with peers. Unless grandma wants to come rip shots at the bar on Friday nights with you. Make sure you develop a strong social circle outside of your family too.
I am currently an undergraduate.....savings...
This trumps the other stuff. Finish school, do well in school, get a good job, and then get your own apartment. In the meantime, have fun with your peers and just be open about your housing if it comes up. Hard for anyone to give you shit if you frame it as "Yep, I live with my folks, it's great to save money until I graduate."

Don't invite them over, go to their places instead. Living alone is no guarantee that your social life will improve. Cliques are EXTREMELY important in college, so do everything in order to become a part of them. It will give you access to females, there's no bigger turn off for college girls than being a loner that only hangs out with one or two guys. Pre-selection and social proof are everything. You're either slaying, or you're an incel, there's no middle ground in college.

Ok. I'd say it's a 50/50 call. Living at the parents' definitely limits your social growth but the money factor is a big one. Any chance you could get your parent's financial help? Say a "zero-interest parental loan"?

OP, I think the answer to this is you getting a better part time job. I knew a myriad of people in college that paid rent for room shares in a rented college house with part time jobs.
They did this by working on TIPS. The rooms were $350-$500/monthly, and they all waited tables, bartended, delivered pizza, stuff like that.
If you're part time job in college is ringing up items 15 hours a week at Target, that might be the problem. You will need money to goto bars regardless of what your part time gig is, so step it up.
