'wolf in sheeps clothing/Gone Girl': Nothing to back up why either of those might be the case. By your description, she's sociable, positive, friendly, hot, and liked. I can't help but feel these views are a reaction to your gut because she snogged a basketball player instead of the person who couldn't make up his mind to show interest. "Surrendered" is not the look on the face of someone who enjoys being eye-fucked by you.

You saw her leave a basketball player's room. You don't have 'an advantage', you have a piece of gossip that for some reason you care about. It's not an advantage, it's a sign of your losing.

Make a pass if you want to know for sure, but knock off any of your 'attractive behavior' towards her or even towards when she's around. It's almost November; if she thought you had the stones to do something you would have by now, so you're just behaving weird. Luckily, there are loving basketball players around. Ones that show her the attention she wanted to have, not just think about.

I don't think it's salvageable, but you have to actually try to know for sure. Something in your writing worries me that you need to practice more, preferably away from that girl.
