The jokes you can get away with really depend on the crowd you're in. You overestimated their threshold, and pretty badly too it seems. Time for damage control. "whoa people it was a joke, wasn't meant to be taken seriously"

Personally just ignore what they said. Rape, even though a majority of the claims are bullshit, is still one of those hot, sensitive, mainstream issues.

Also, in the future, it's best to find friends who are in align with the same sort of mentality and things you are.
