Hello,

I am a female student studying psychoanalysis.

Many hard-core freudians refute TRP's beliefs.

It brings me to a question though, what if this freudian psychoanalysis/training is unsuccessful in bringing a woman happiness? What is being feminine really doesn't make a woman happy? What's the motive for her to continue to move on?

As someone who has dealt with gender identity disorder and penis envy, these questions circulate my mind while I read Freud. What if freud is right? My boyfriend and I seem to obey the laws of TRP, but I don't feel any more satisfied or happy than I did with other boyfriends. In fact, after our dominate/submissive role-play, I feel intense guilt, shame, disgust. How would one over come these feelings, as a woman, and find happiness? I make myself feminine, but sometimes I look in the mirror and see my mother, the one I resent for bringing into the world without a penis. So, I grow more unhappy.

The ultimate question is how to deal with depression as a woman, when TRP isn't working.
