I've been seeing this girl and we've been talking about getting serious a lot lately. It seems like we're on the verge of being in a committed relationship. Last week she told me she wasn't sleeping with anyone else. I asked her if that meant she thought we were boyfriend and girlfriend and she said no. I continued to spin plates that week.

Yesterday morning she came to my house early to drop off a surprise present and saw a girl leaving my house. In so many words she texted me saying she saw it andso I told her she flat out told me we weren't boyfriend and girlfriend so why does it matter? She basically agreed and we decided to meet up later and hang out.

Although I don't "follow" her on instagram, I looked at hers after the convo and she had posted a picture from a coffee shop with a guys hand in the pic. Its hard to explain without going into the details but it looks like her ex boyfriend was there.

When we hung out later on she told me she poked her head in a new coffee shop earlier in the week and wanted to stop and get coffee one day. It was the same coffee shop that she had posted a picture of her and (who i think is)her ex at earlier in the day.

While we're technically not in a committed relationship yet, I feel very uneasy about getting into one with her if she's still seeing her ex. Also, when she mentioned going to the coffee shop earlier in the week, she didn't mention him or anyone else for that matter.

I kind of want to bring it up to her about it but I'm not 100% sure it was her ex but I feel like I'll look insecure for snooping her instagram when I don't think she's even aware I know what her instagram name is. Also, incase it's not clear, I'd be less concerned that she went on a date as I would be that she went on a date with her ex, ya know?

I was thinking about steering a convo to the subject of exes, we're pretty open about that kind of thing and have talked about it in the past, and then asking her if she still has contact with him but what if she says no? I'll feel like a chump if I start going "but, but, yourr instagram!" Especially if I'm wrong.

What do you guys think?
