Background: I'm in a different city on a business trip and will be here every week from Tue-Fri. Of course, I've been going out and meeting people and what not.

So, last night I went to an interesting social networking event and ended up with a couple phone numbers. One of these girls, let's call her Sarah, seemed especially interested. I couldn't really f-close last night since she'd shown up with a male friend of her's who was also her ride back home. She stressed the fact that he was just a friend which made me realize that she was fairly interested.

When we parted, I got her phone number, gave her a kiss on the cheek and said that I would contact her next week to take her out dancing and she seemed eager for that.

Questions: a) Should I've been more aggressive and tried to f-close last night? Maybe been like: "Ditch your friend. Let's get a drink somewhere else and I can drop you home."

b) Should I try and contact her today to set something up for tonight or does that come across as too needy?

c) Did I play it just right?

The reason I ask about (b) and (c) is that there was something about her body language when I said I'd be back next week and would contact her then which seemed to indicate a slight disappointment. Of course, I could be reading too much into this and overthinking it. FWIW, I was trying to play it cool and practicing my actions being 'outcome-independent'.
