Currently in a pretty good LTR, the situation is a close family member in the hospital on their way out from this world. I know I have to be strong & stoic, but is it acceptable to tell them why I'm not talking to them? That's it. Something short and simple like "XXX is in the hospital, I've been busy." would bring about "OMG r u okay???".
This is how I feel right now if we're being honest with ourselves. I feel like shit and I can't sleep. The person dying isn't someone I met at the bar a few weeks ago, it's a family member and it sucks bad. I would never let her know I'm struggling though because then I'm weak in her eyes.
That's all I want to say, a single sentence to tell her I'm not doing too great and she can kindly fuck off / give me space. I don't want her sympathy or unload my emotions, that's what other family members and bro's are for.
I can deal with it on my own, I just need some time to take a step back, grieve for a bit, and return to my old self. I really have no interest of women, sex, or 'having fun' at the moment.
What do you think?
