It stays free — no paywall, no account — for the next man who comes looking, the way it was free for you.

Because your angry emotional prattle holds no say here. Sorry.

Look, if you disagree with us, you disagree, there are plenty of places for you to be as vocal as you want about it. Why do you want to get rid of the place where we can be vocal about Any time a conversation about the red pill happens in a group of people who haven't considered it, the trained responses are ones we've all already heard and argued against. It would be exhausting to just respond to accusations over and over.

Why would TRP rather ban someone than answer to it's arguments?

Literally because this ^

In this post you've managed;

-Ad hominem

-Fallacious (Complex) Question

-Condescension

-Leading with a presumptive conclusion

We discuss legitimate arguments. The hysterics displayed by you and many feminists show you are not capable of rational, adult conversation. Debate with you is similar to playing chess with a pigeon, and we all have much more important and pleasant things to do.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

You don't get to decide what is a unlegitimate argument if you can't even rebate it. FYI.

[–]ModGaiusScaevolus[M] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Firstly, you mean rebut. Rebut an argument. Or possibly rebuke.

Second, Yes, yes I do get to decide. I'm a mod on this sub, which means I get to decide what posts have merit and stay, and what is crap that should be deleted.

Third, it's established that logical fallacies don't constitute a valid argument. Hence why they are called fallacies. If you want to have a legitimate debate, make a non fallacious point.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Quite ironic when the entire argument for the red pill, and indeed the name of the movement is a logical fallacy. Also sorry for not being a native english speaker, that obviously devalued my argument. Not.

[–]ModGaiusScaevolus0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I could ban you (and should), but i'm bored right now so I'll bite,

the entire argument for the red pill, and indeed the name of the movement is a logical fallacy

Explain.

Also sorry for not being a native english speaker, that obviously devalued my argument. Not.

The proper etiquette is to be forthcoming about that rather than wait to f*ck up and be called out. Don't get flippant over your misuse of vocabulary.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Saying that everyone else is deluded and thus you are right because you've seen the light is a logical fallacy because it excuses you from having to prove your position is right. All kinds of scammers use this convincing fallacy.

Proper etiquette also mandates you dont be an asshole and go around pointing language mistakes which clearly do not impede your understanding of a sentence.

We have given reasons upon reasons why we are correct. You (feminists) choose not to read them, or ignore them in favor of misquoting us on a 6 month old question.

You tried to get up on your high horse, insulted everyone here, and got knocked off. Stop whining.

[–][deleted]1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I presented arguments for which people had no answers except canned, recicled fallacies. And thus it was easier to ban the voice of reason than actually listening to it.

[–]GaiusScaevolus1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well Im sorry no one likes misogynistic bastards and the answer is dude you are deluded by society bitches rule us blahblahblah while man are still more likely to be abusive towards women than the reverse. Oh and yeah, rape is totally shared guilt too. Go fuck yourselves. And yes, thats hysteric, im just glad you are the laughing stock of the internet.

This is what you consider a reasonable argument? It fits the definition of neither word.

And thus it was easier to ban the voice of reason than actually listening to it.

You haven't been banned yet, (though I'd be lying if I said you don't already fit the criteria for banning)

So go ahead, present an argument, If its logical, well reasoned, and an actual argument, I'll leave it up and we can have a nice discussion like adults. If it isn't, I will ban you, as you'll have crossed over into the boring troll wasting my time category.

Women and man are the same in terms of rights and dignity. TPR proposes man to act in such a way that women are inferior to them. It resorts to techniques such as "no means yes" to make it seem like women desire it. Such a thing is false.

[–]GaiusScaevolus1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Women and man are the same in terms of rights and dignity.

Women and Men should be presumed equal in the eyes of the law. I agree. Often, this is not the case, and the man is shafted. (Source: Family court system, Incarceration stats, Laws allowing/encouraging pro-woman gender discrimination in hiring and college admissions/scholarships)

TRP proposes man to act in such a way that women are inferior to them.

How so? tRP proposes man act in such a way as to account for the differences in men and women, particularly in relation to attraction.

It resorts to techniques such as "no means yes" to make it seem like women desire it. Such a thing is false.

I have never seen a Red Piller say "no means yes". We have said "10 no's and a yes mean yes", and we have said "Don't create opportunity for saying no." But this is a recognition and celebration of a woman's agency as a free and thinking entity. I've always found it concerning that feminism would have women be so weak they cannot voice their desires unless prompted by a man.

[–][deleted]0 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So not creating the opportunity for saying no is not coercion? OK.

[–]GaiusScaevolus1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Careful, you're getting into the "misrepresentation" and "leading with a conclusion" versions of a troll.

Do you think that women cannot act as agents of their own interests? Do you think that women need a man's permission to vocalize those preferences? If you think both of these are possible, then how can you call that coercion.

[–][deleted]1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I dont frankly give a fuck about what you consider a troll. I personally think you try to label disenting opinions as trolls so as to excuse yourselves from actually proving your points.

Because I believe in women as agents of their own interests and not needing permission to vocalize their preferences, I must interpret that in Two ways: everybody can be emotionally manipulated, man and women alike. the fact they allow themselves to be manipulated in no way lessons the seriousness of that manipulation or the fact that it is wrong. Second, if a women doesnt allow herself to be manipulated, the only other way to prevent situations where she can say no is by physichal coercion. And we do know most women are weaker than the average man.

[–]4Stayinghereforreal1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ironic. A person floats a false choice logical error, and claims it is serious, logic-based argumentation.

Next, a post claiming no such error occurred....

[–]4Stayinghereforreal1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Is it because you {A] or {B}?

False choice logical error.

By making things binary like that, you do not allow for choice C: your posts simply clutter things up, in an either intentional or unintentional way. In either case it makes more sense to delete and ban you than work with you, since you come unequipped to properly reason.
