Men,

I wanted to firstly thank ALL contributors here, and acknowledge what a life changing resource this has been. I was missing things in my marriage, and reading the books, and this forum... within a matter of weeks I digested the info, and over months have applied it, and continue on the path.

I was given the RP before I knew what the term was... and I didn't want to believe it:

I had encountered, at the gym, a homosexual gentleman who was gray in the hair. A very experienced man in life, his occupation: A psychiatrist, who specialized in MARRIAGE THERAPY.

He basically outlined all of the MRP points (without the jargon of course), and I was astonished. What do you mean she wants me to be cocky, and do what the fuck I want (pure confidence)... etc etc. I wasn't ready to swallow the RP at that time, but in retrospect... having no PERSONAL stake in the interpersonal relationships of heterosexual couples... he basically surmised that you need to provide just enough reassurance to keep her around, and otherwise - be your own man. As I finally swallowed the pill, I couldn't help but remember in vivid detail, points of importance that he outlined. His insight was so intriguing to me that we maintain a friendship. He was a wizard with human dynamics, and it was SO interesting to hear him explain the differences between a dominant / submissive gay couple vs a straight one. Subtle differences, but they are significant.

Who would have thought that an aging gay man could help save my marriage...
