I [M21] have been seeing this girl [F21] for a couple weeks now and its been absolutely perfect. Perfect connection, perfect chemistry, etc. She's been introducing me to her close friends and gushing about me to everyone. We've been on multiple dates, spent the night over at each others places, talked about a multitude of things (very personal and deep topics as well). Told me she really cared about me, liked where it was going, etc. Then she went distant over text, so I asked her what was going on two or three days later to which she replied "I'm not ready for a serious relationship" "I'm not ready to give up my singleness and independence" "I feel like I jumped into this extremely quick and I never do that".

We never even had a discussion about feelings or a relationship or anything like that. I was just going with the flow, enjoying the time I spent with her and honestly whoever else I was talking to. I did honestly catch some feelings but I never really showed them. Never went beta mode, never went beta mode after she texted me those things (gave her a mature reply, she responded and I never replied). WTF Is going on
