It's for a friend. She's white, female mid 40's.

She's single, lonely, unhappy with life. Already had multiple failed relationships.

She sees the stability and happiness that women in my social circles experience ( I'm Indian) the happy families etc

She wants all of that. I know she does, she even admitted it once. But all through her 20's she's been what i would call a "feminist". Almost all her friends are divorced and get no respect or attention from men at this age when they want to "settle down"

And i mean that in as derogatory a manner as possible.

I think it's too late for her to change, but i want to just show her why the US version of feminism has failed and why it's going to create more problems for societies as a whole in the future.

I don't think i can explain to her, because I'm an Indian and i come from a strong patriarchal family. She probably thinks that my mom is a house wife because our patriarchal society looked down upon working women 30 years ago.

I think she'll just dismiss whatever I say as irrelevant to her culture and society, plus I'm not the best communicator and I'm not aware of the Western culture beyond what i see on reddit.

So please share anything/anyone who talks/writes about these things from a western perspective.

I just feel so sad for her. The confusion on her face, almost screaming where did i go wrong.
