After seven months there should be more discussion of the future, especially given his age. If he isn’t showing interest in marriage, then cut him loose before you invest too much time. 28 is still young enough to find a good man but time is ticking.

You've been together 7 months and not kissed yet? That is very odd. Are you/is he religious?

He's gay, and she's a beard.

I'd recommend reading The Surrendered Single. It's got great advice about dating and vetting. I'd also recommend "Getting to I Do" -- it's got wonderful advice for dating and vetting, and learning to be the feminine energy in a relationship.
However, you need to address your fear of abandonment. You're not going to be the woman you need to be without facing and healing those abandonment issues.
I highly recommend reading and working through The Abandonment Recovery Workbook. Buy the paper copy, because the Kindle version is a formatting mess.
Ideally, you would also talk to a professional counselor, but that isn't always possible. That book absolutely changed my life. Dealing with the abandonment pain I'd been carrying around since childhood made it possible for me to be the loving, delightful creature I am now.
Best of luck!
Edit: Just adding that all of Susan Anderson's work on overcoming abandonment is fantastic. I also recommend "Taming your Outer Child". Some of the exercises in that book seem pretty silly when you begin, but they've seriously changed my life. Please feel free to PM me for more info.

I can only speak from what I know, but with each new relationship you have to start out by investing your heart. You're going to get attached, and that's normal. We're a pair bonding species. Don't worry about getting too invested, allow it to happen. Discuss honestly and frequently your goals, desires, and needs and wants and talk about his.
Now, in your specific case....that is really weird that you haven't even smooched yet at 7 months, so how often do you see each other? If you don't see him often then the no pda thing isnt so strange.
Read the books recommended in the comments too.
Ask yourself this, are you happy with the pace of the relationship? Why or why not? From there, figure out if you want to bring anything up to him.
Communication is key, so get to reading and thinking and decide for yourself what you should say. Good luck OP!
