I’m 22F and single. I came out of a five year relationship a few Months ago. If you look at past posts, then you can see the history and what I’ve been through.

I condoned a lot of my ex’s actions; from cheating, talking to his ex, comparing me to other women, and rushing me to forgive him. When things weren’t up to his standards he decided to leave.

I’m happy that we’re not together. That I can find someone better maybe in the future and not feeling tormented for another year. I would never go back to him, he’s ruined the friendship we had by saying things that weren’t based on the relationship.

I go on reddit and see a lot of things about women with no self respect and it makes me feel ashamed sometimes. I stayed with someone and tried to be with them all in the name of showing them I loved them, and when proof was right in front of me. I stayed. That was my first long term relationship, before him I was with someone for a year but we were mostly just friends, it’s nothing special. So maybe my lack of experience was pulled into it.

How do I overcome this? Thanks

Edit; the relationship ended about three months ago
