Tl;dr
My LTR starts fights/arguments for no reason (screaming, declaring breakup), I ignore them and once she cools down she will call me to tell me she loves me and I just go with it, continuing to ignore the tantrum as if it never happened. Is this the right response or should I be addressing these tantrums?
Main
Very recently (the past week or so) my LTR of 1 year has been randomly starting fights and I have been mostly just ignoring them. She will get sullen out of nowhere (or from something little), then explode in anger and scream at me. If she is angry about something I did, I will take her arguments into consideration and accept responsibility if I am at fault.
Most of these arguments are pointless and very probably shit tests. Random things, like I didn't care for a movie we watched together (even though I sat through the whole thing and enjoyed the time with her), I didn't get her poorly-phrased joke, things like that. She will be extremely angry and then a couple hours later, while I'm doing my work, she will approach me or call me to tell me she still loves me, and she'll proceed as though it never happened.
Sometimes she will apologize, but recently I think she's trying something new where she sees whether she can get away with not apologizing.
I am in the mode of ignoring the random tantrums so when she drops the mood/attitude I just pretend it never happened. Is this the right response? How should I respond to these?
Possibly pertinent: she has PMDD, which is basically a more severe PMS that happens before the period, and I know she's going through that this past week. It's not a strong excuse but is known to cause mood swings.
