Texting is very difficult at building attraction. Speaking with her on the phone is better. I suppose FaceTime would be even better.

If she lives 1 hr away though, why bother? LDR don't work.

1 hour away is pushing it, especially since you can't drive. You can definelty build attraction on FaceTime though but it's not ideal. I'd say go for and use it to improve your experience at talking to girls as you're only young, nothing to lose.

Most of my relationships in high school developed from FaceTiming girls I approached in school.

If you’re funny it’s super easy to make them feel close and it’ll be easier to hangout as girls in high school are REALLY weird about meeting people they don’t ‘know’ yet.
