So as the title says I’m fairly new to this sub, I’m still making it though the sidebar links. This came about quickly and I figured better to ask sooner than later so I don’t miss an opportunity because I’m reading links trying to find my own answers vs asking opinions from you all.

I’m 21M. The girl this is about is 23F. I’ve known her for awhile but we never had anything serious. I live far away due to a career path I’ve chosen and she has always talked about wanting to move to the state I’m in (implying living with me). A few years ago I was home on vacation and we had our fun together but when I left we saw it as best to cut that off due to the distance. She’s always kind of stuck around, wether it’s social media, texts, or phone calls. We’ve always maintained spaces communication.

We recently started talking more and SHE brought up moving here again. She said she is 90% or more serious. She gives me random compliments and I mainly just accept them and will return them later but not right away. We definitely have a connection or a spark but nothing following that yet.

Keeping the above in mind here’s the weird part.

Today we were texting and I asked if I could FaceTime her for a few. She said she had plans with friends and I told her to have fun and not to worry I didn’t need to talk about anything important and I was just looking to bs for a bit. She denies and asks me to call so I did. Well she is hanging out with a small group of friends and says she has to go to the bathroom so she hands the phone off to a guy and I bs with him and all went well. She came back we talked for a few and then I got off the phone. Exchange a few texts after the call which resulted in plans to talk more tomorrow.

Fast forward a little more. Her friend (a girl) adds me on social media telling me she heard our convo and I seem like a nice guy blah blah blah. Well her friend spilled the beans about the girl I am talking to having a boyfriend. The boyfriend is the guy she handed the phone to.

I’m confused as hell. Obviously the girl wants me but how bad? Am I a plate she’s spinning? Why consider a future involving a move if she’s with someone? I plan on acting like I don’t know and just continuing to be myself since I know for a fact she wants to be with me.

TLDR- Girl I’ve been talking to has a boyfriend. Her friend told me on accident and I need to know what to do next

Any advice, tips or ideas?
