Trying to figure out the psychological origins of these mindsets, and why they work.

I think if a guy was born into a rich family and is good-looking he would naturally display abundance and DGAF mentality. This being because he has MANY options available to him. He doesn't have to settle for anything, therefore no scarcity. This makes him special, rarer, and generally more expensive to women, and they sense it from his aura/energy. Abundance mentality naturally forms into a person who is born into rich family and good looking. However, when you are poor and ugly you develop the opposite mentality, you care TOO much about female attention/validation because you rarely get it. And you get the scarcity mindset when poor because you don't have all your needs met and will take any scraps that come your way.

When you get negative reinforcements about your looks you get needy/desperate/clingy for any sort of attention making you have a GiveAFuck and scarcity mentality, because you crave it. Like going through the desert without water, you'll think dirty water looks appealing.

When you get positive reinforcements about our looks you aren't going to be needy/desperate/clingy for any sort of attention making you have a DontGiveAFuck and abundance mentality.

So essentially the traits we promote here are the traits that occur naturally for men who were born good-looking and wealthy, or at least one of them. When you have no money and no good-looks you get the whole GiveAFuck and scarcity mentality, it is just the natural thing to do. So we want to fake our mentality like if we had all our needs met and MANY options available to us (rich, good looking, and many options).
