Not necessarily. Most advanced societies in a period of prosperity recognize this paradigm of one alpha male servicing all the women. If you are going to live in such an advanced society, this element must be suppressed. Enter marriage or any other matrimonial ceremony. Men give up the right to compete for a harem of women, and women give up the right to attach themselves to the most powerful man available en masse.

This is the agreement, and it works well, women are still having babies, and all the males are acting out the productive tendencies to care for their families. It is truly a recipe for society building.

Feminism looks to unbalance this paradigm. They still want all the security (beta buxs) and the attachment to powerful men (alpha fucks).

So what happens? Sooner or later, men will get wise to the game. Marriage rates decline. The engine of production (men), no longer has anything to truly work toward other than satisfying basic wants (which are as simple as porn, food, and a roof). The society begins to decay and collapse. Either women re-enter the original compact, or it is game over.

It's also the greatest lie of the MRA movement. "Men and women are equal, but look at this part of society that treats women more favorably! That's not fair!" It's not supposed to be fair.

Usually evolution is slow. However, evolution figured this out so it found a way to adapt in a more real time fashion. The solution is sexual dimorphism. And it goes something like this:

There is no need to experiment too much with the female gender. Keep churning out the average egg carrier no matter what happens.
Make as many diverse males as possible, filling every niche as far as the eye can see. Sure, some of them will fall on infertile ground (they will be retarded or whatnot), but who cares? Some will be geniuses. Pair this with female hypergamy, and anytime a specific masculine set of genes is able to raise itself above the herd during any generation, those genetics are spread far and wide.

Kind of elegant if you think about it.

Most of them seem quite fond of gender roles, as long as the man is the "exploited" one. Or they get violent at the idea of being housewives but are fine with being gold-diggers (an arguably worse gender stereotype...they only don't like being called gold diggers).
