I had a friend that argued this same shit. Basically he never had luck with women so he despises them and gave up on trying to get laid. Problem is he doesn't use the extra time and energy to challenge himself in other ways. He has a shitty girlfriend of 4 years that hasn't fucked him in 3 years because she is Sheldon-level autistic. He hates her but he's determined that "a nut's a nut" so he jacks it.

Women choose which types of men they give access to their happy-holes. There are lots of genuinely nice guys who just want to love women, and all of that corny Disney stuff. But women don't like those men are prefer fun a-holes. So they get fun a-holes. That's their choice. They my hamster by saying that nice guys really aren't nice, they're only after sex, etc., but the women really just prefer fun a-holes. So that's what they get. Other men see what's going on and they adopt the strategies that work.

The point is women choose what they want to have sex with, so they get the men that they deserve.

Many men do exactly what you're talking about....they see that women are a lost cause and choose to stay single, fap to porn, and play video games or whatever they are into. It's called Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) and it scares the crap out of a lot of women who are used to having men fall all over them.

Personally I think it's kind of a cop out. MGTOW might be helpful on the short term, but a better long term strategy is to improve yourself, be more manly and attractive, and don't get blinded by women's bullshit.

Because despite all the bullshit we have to go through, women can be quite enjoyable, especially one who knows how to fuck and shut her mouth.
